Materials:

  • 4 tsp of powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • Bowl
  • Pie Tin
  • Spoon
  • Sand

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the powdered sugar with baking soda.
  2. Fill your pie tin with sand, then use your knuckle to make an indent in the sand in the middle of the tin.
  3. With help from a parent, pour lighter fluid in the pie tin so the sand is soaked.
  4. Carefully spoon the sugar and baking soda mix into the center of the sand.
  5. Ask an adult to light the sand next to the sugar and baking soda mixture.
  6. Be patient, but watch as your snake begins to grow from the pie tin!
